When I was in practice I represented people in criminal cases but also in immigration court. Judge Dana Marks of the San Francisco Immigration Court  was one of the finest jurists I ever appeared before in any court. She provides a compelling account of the mess in our immigration court system. Maybe someday I’ll write about what it is like for an immigrant to be caught up in this quasi-bureaucratic nightmare, but not yet! When I do, it will be a topic with which I am quite familiar and one of which I have some strong emotions.  It won’t be a political screed, just a good story. (I hope). It’s definitely on the “to-do list” of stories to tell.
